Nine of China's most prestigious and top-ranked universities make up the C9 League, aka China's Ivy League. World-renowned Tsinghua and Peking Universities are members of the C9 League. Affordable Universities for International Students   

Some universities in China with cheap tuition fees are: 

  • Ningbo University: Tuition fees for undergraduate programs range from 20,000 to 25,000 CNY per year. For the Master's program, 20,000 to 22,000 CNY per year.  

  • North Western Polytechnic University: Bachelor's programs tuition costs in courses taught in Chinese at 20000 CNY per year and in the English medium at 22,000 CNY per year. The Master's program costs 30,000 CNY per year. For a Ph.D. program, it is 38,000 CNY per year. Foundation courses cost 25,000 CNY per year for zero-base incentives and 15,000 CNY per year for concentrated improvement subjects. 

  • Liaoning University of Technology: Tuition fees for non-degree courses cost 7,000 to 13,000 CNY per year, bachelor's courses cost 18,000 CNY per year, and master's programs cost 24,000 CNY per year. 

  • Beijing Normal University: The tuition fee for bachelor's degrees costs 24,000 to 27,000 CNY per year, a master's program costs 25,300 to 60,000 CNY per year; and doctorate degrees cost 32,300 to 98,000 CNY per year. 

International scholarships for international students in China

Different types of Scholarships for international students are: 

  • The Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC) is a project of the Chinese Ministry of Education. It aims to advance education, cultural exchange, political cooperation, and intercultural understanding between China and other nations. Scholarships offered by CSC may be fully or partially funded. 
  • Scholarships are generally available for students at Chinese universities. These scholarships are typically given to students who apply early or have good grades.
