PTE stands for Pearson test of English and is a computerized test that has gained worldwide acceptance by educational institutions and immigration departments, mainly in Australia and New Zealand. It is a computer-based English language exam. It is divided into three groups: 

  • PTE General
  • PTE Academic
  • PTE Young Learners

What are the types of PTE exams? 

PTE General has Written and spoken tests, PTE Academic has listening, writing, reading, and speaking tests, and PTE Young learners are for children of 6-13 years with formats like group speaking, board games, picture matching, and story writing.  

What are the eligibility criteria for the PTE exam? 

To become eligible for the PTE exam, candidates must have the PTE Academic:

  • 43-58 IELTS band 4-5 for undergraduate-level study
